Texas-tested
Floor Systems Built for Gulf-Coast Conditions
Coatings that aren't installed for the Texas climate fail early. We choose the system — and the prep — for the heat, humidity, and slab movement we see every day along the Gulf Coast.
Heat & UV
Summer sun and heat can yellow or soften cheap coatings. We use UV-stable polyaspartic topcoats that hold their color and gloss.
Humidity & Moisture
Gulf-Coast humidity and slab moisture make coatings bubble or peel when prep is skipped. We check and manage moisture before we coat.
Slab-on-Grade Movement
Texas slabs shift and crack. We repair cracks and joints and prep properly so your floor stays bonded and looks right for years.
Salt Air & Spills
Near the bay, floors take on salt, chemicals, and spills. Our seamless systems wipe clean and resist staining and corrosion.

South Coast Epoxy & Andrew (Owner) should be your choice for any sized job that needs professionally installed epoxy flooring, polishing and sealing of concrete. He can handle huge surfaces, small clinics, aircraft hangars, garages, hospitals and more. He worked magic with my destroyed floors. I had several types of flooring and a bad foundation. Andrew gave me the options and honestly recommended what he thought was the best choice — not the most expensive product he has. He demoed the floor, did the needed repairs and finished the job promptly. He also recommended another change that saved me hundreds. So genuine and honest.
We just closed on our new home and wanted to complete the garage floor before we moved in. Andrew drove across town after finishing another job to meet with us late in the evening and took the time to discuss the different finishes. Lots of color options. He sent us pictures of completed jobs in the colors we were deciding on, adjusted his schedule to hit our Jan 3rd move-in without being asked, and was punctual with progress updates. Price was one of the lowest we found, but quality and courteousness were not compromised. Already referred them to neighbors.
Great company to work with. Very professional and willing to explain every step. The epoxy looks great. We're going to have them come back and finish our gym floors soon. Pricing is very fair and affordable — you get your money's worth. Only took 2 days to complete.
Andrew and the team were awesome. They first redid the floors in our pharmacy's sterile rooms that were in terrible condition — they looked and felt a thousand times better. I then hired them for my garage at home. Fast and affordable; we did a light flake and the attention to detail was on point. From prep to cleanup, fantastic.
Great experience. The crew was easy to work with, showed up when they said they would, and did really solid work. Completely changed the look of my garage and patio. You can tell they care about doing the job right.
Andrew and crew did a fantastic job. Very reasonable price. Started and finished when he said. No surprises. Completely cleaned up. Honest, likable and professional. He also repaired all the sheetrock and painted. My garage had 20 years of neglect — it turned out great.
From knowledge to dedication, Andrew and his worker are absolute gems. I showed him the troubled spots where water gets in and he instantly knew what to do. The weather wasn't in our favor but they stuck it out. Two months in and the floor's been bulletproof. My go-to company for all future jobs.
We hired South Coast Epoxy for our large shop and chose a custom flake blend that turned out even better than we imagined. The quality and attention to detail were clear from day one.
Top notch! Amazing job on our restaurant's kitchen and bar floors, timely and professional. Very impressed.
FAQs
Flooring & Epoxy Coating FAQs
Answers to the questions Texas homeowners and businesses ask us most.
What types of flooring does South Coast Epoxy install?
We install the full range of resinous and concrete floor systems: epoxy and polyaspartic coatings, decorative flake, metallic, quartz, and solid-color finishes, plus polished concrete and concrete staining and sealing. We also handle surface prep, concrete grinding, crack and slab repair, and custom epoxy countertops. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com and we'll match the right system to your space and budget.
Do you install garage epoxy floors?
Yes, garage floors are one of our most requested projects across League City and the Houston Bay Area. We grind the slab, repair cracks, and apply durable epoxy or polyaspartic coatings, usually with a decorative flake finish that resists hot tires, chemicals, and Gulf-Coast humidity. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com to get started.
Do you offer commercial epoxy flooring?
We do. South Coast Epoxy installs commercial-grade floors for warehouses, restaurants, medical facilities, gyms, hangars, and retail spaces throughout the Houston Bay Area. These systems are engineered for heavy traffic, easy sanitation, and long service life on slab-on-grade construction. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com to discuss your facility.
What is concrete polishing?
Concrete polishing mechanically grinds and refines your existing slab with progressively finer diamond abrasives, then densifies and seals it to a smooth, low-maintenance finish. The result is a durable surface that doesn't peel or delaminate and handles foot and forklift traffic well. It's a popular choice for warehouses, showrooms, and modern homes. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com to learn more.
Is epoxy flooring good for restaurants and retail spaces?
Yes. Epoxy and polyaspartic floors are seamless and non-porous, so they resist spills, grease, and bacteria and clean up quickly, which is ideal for kitchens, dining areas, and high-traffic retail floors. We can add slip-resistant textures and decorative finishes to meet both safety and design needs. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com to plan your project.
How long does epoxy flooring take to install?
Most residential garage and floor projects take one to three days, depending on the size of the slab, the condition of the concrete, and the system you choose. Polyaspartic coatings cure faster and can sometimes be completed in a single day. Proper surface prep and cure time are essential for a lasting bond, especially in our humid climate. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com for a timeline on your space.
Do you provide concrete grinding and surface preparation?
Surface prep is the foundation of every floor we install, and we never skip it. We diamond-grind the concrete to open the surface profile, repair cracks and damaged areas, and ensure the slab is clean and sound before any coating goes down. Done right, this prevents peeling and delamination in League City's heat and humidity. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com to schedule an assessment.
Can epoxy coatings be used on countertops?
Yes, we build custom epoxy countertops with seamless, high-gloss finishes in a wide range of colors and effects, including metallic and stone looks. Epoxy countertops are durable, heat- and moisture-resistant, and fully customizable to your kitchen, bar, or bathroom. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com to discuss a custom design.
What areas do you serve?
South Coast Epoxy is locally owned and based at 1306 Carefree Dr in League City, TX, and we serve League City and the surrounding Houston Bay Area communities. As a local contractor, we understand Gulf-Coast slab-on-grade construction and the demands our heat and humidity place on flooring. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com to confirm we cover your location.
How do I request a quote?
Email us at info@southcoastepoxytx.com with your location, the type of space, and roughly how many square feet you need coated. We'll follow up to discuss the right system for your project and arrange a closer look at your concrete. There's no obligation to get pricing.
Is epoxy flooring easy to clean?
Very. Epoxy and polyaspartic floors are seamless and non-porous, so dirt, dust, and spills sit on the surface instead of soaking in. Routine cleaning is usually just sweeping and an occasional mop, with no waxing or special products required. That low maintenance is a big reason homeowners and businesses across the Bay Area choose them. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com to learn more.
What is the difference between epoxy, polished concrete, and concrete coatings?
Epoxy is a resinous coating applied over prepped concrete to create a seamless, durable surface, often with decorative flake or metallic finishes. Polished concrete uses no coating at all; it grinds and densifies the existing slab into a smooth, sealed floor. "Concrete coatings" is a broader term that also covers polyaspartic systems, which cure faster and resist UV and abrasion. Email info@southcoastepoxytx.com and we'll recommend the best fit for your space.
